Brian Bachtel is a Professional Civil Engineer and retired Coast Guard Commander with 22 years of experience supporting Federal Agencies. In his most recent Coast Guard assignments, Brian led a diverse team to plan, and execute robust maintenance programs covering operational facilities, housing units, cutters and boats in two of the country’s busiest ports: New York City and Houston, TX. He also worked alongside Federal, State and Municipal Officials to provide emergency response and recovery efforts to Coast Guard members, their families and facilities following major hurricane events. These incidents included Hurricane Harvey in Houston, TX, Super Storm Sandy in New York/New Jersey and Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, LA. Brian has proven success managing planning, and construction of various projects throughout the U.S. Most notably in the Northeast, Great Lakes, Gulf Coast and Mid-Atlantic. He has effectively collaborated with The Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Army National Guard, Army Corps of Engineers, NOAA, The National Park Service, NASA and FEMA to reach agreements to operate more efficiently. Brian is a Professional Engineer (civil), Certified Federal Acquisition Project Manager Level II and Contracting Officer’s Representative.
