Throughout my career, I have been a pragmatic thinker who executes well and helps teams succeed. I am curious, analytical, and always learning. People have often asked me if I was a teacher because my sales and client management methods involve a consultative approach that incorporates teaching. I try to learn from those around me and share my insights, experience, and knowledge when appropriate. My extensive experience with clients who are not tech-savvy has helped me develop a talent for explaining complex technical issues to non-technical users and decision-makers.Whether in my current role providing WordPress design, development, SEO, and website security or in past roles such as client services or sales of maintenance management SaaS, I produce great results! I have almost always been a top 5 leader in sales volume and sales value. For example, in my four years as an independent sales rep in New York and North Carolina for Thomas Publishing, I was a regional and national Rookie of the Year as well as a Top 10 sales leader nationally and Top 3 regionally. During those years, I was often asked to share my sales methods and insights with colleagues. At a previous job, my work involved senior management asking me to create and lead a multi-department team to improve the lagging results we were achieving for our largest client, a Fortune 500 company. By observing and learning the role of each department in servicing this client, encouraging all departments to commit to working toward our common goal, and understanding and harnessing previously unused data, we implemented numerous process improvements. The vastly improved performance from these changes resulted in this client doubling their business with us, from about $7 million to over $15 million per year.Whether providing web development, SEO, and web security to a client or taking on a new sales or technical support role in a company, my goals are the same. I look at the big picture, learn from clients and those around me, leverage the expertise and experience of each team member, define the goals, adopt or develop processes, dig into the details, and go after the goals.
