Works closely with Connect for Health Colorado’s business stakeholders to identify potential system enhancements and triage production issues. Partners with operations teams on process improvement and provide support for critical efforts. • Learned a new UI/UX application (Figma) to mock up new functionality for two applications, documenting best practices and guidelines in a Confluence page to help pitch the application internally. • Designed the mobile responsiveness stories for a new redesign in line with the company’s style guide with clear functionality expectations for both developers and testers.

As the company pivots to support more agile-style processes with combined teams (squads), I've taken over as project manager and scrum master for various work my main team is involved in. Keeping the skills I learned as a business analyst, I help the product owner write their stories, refine them with the development team's input, and work those requirements into sprints and releases. I represent the team as a whole at high level meetings and in one case, in closing an audit item. Balancing everyone's individual voices with what the project needs to be successful and doing so across multiple locations is difficult - but I love a challenge.

I am my team's primary author of our functional specification documents from start to finish including mockups and preliminary test cases. I also assist with SQL queries and work with our Operations partners on client-facing training guides. On top of that, I serve as the team’s liaison and representative “firewall” throughout the company, including other development teams, audit teams, and client-facing teams, on business and level 3 technical issues. Those meetings can also include hosting various internal/external facing demos and feedback sessions to showcase current and upcoming functionality across multiple products - our projects often reduce client support calls on average 30% each year! Overall, I'm part of our team's drive to find solutions which reduce risk, increase value, and improve operating efficiency through projects. This culminated in our main enhancement project winning a DTCC Leadership Award for Quality and Excellence in 2015.
