Head Of West Coast Sales
Prior to running Operations for Topspin, I helped establish the company as the pioneer direct-to-consumer technology platform for creators. As Head of West Coast Sales, I leveraged and built upon my deep relationships in the music industry – major and indie labels, artists and artist managers - helping the company scale from tens of artists to tens of thousands. I brokered a partnership with Viacom/MTV, which became the basis for MTV’s Artist Platform.

Advised on direct-to-consumer marketing best practices, mentored creators and provided creative assistance on marketing plans.
Head Of Music Industry Relations
While at Buzznet, I shaped the company’s music strategy, acted as the product manager for an audio / video content management system and worked with Buzznet’s design team on the site’s overall UX. I created promotional and marketing opportunities for labels and artists, helping to grow the Buzznet community and generating lucrative sponsorship opportunities. Director, Wherehousemusic.Com
Following the failed Checkout.com joint venture, I returned to Wherehouse to run their online operations where I oversaw daily operations, managed and led team of people to merchandise and maintain the e-ccommerce site. I continued the work that I had started with Wherehouse's VP of Business Development and worked with him to develop other products and services to enhance the Wherehouse brand. I also worked with the major labels and distribution companies to develop online promotional opportinities, which were some of the first of their kind, though primitive by today's standards.
Manager, Digital Strategies
What began as Internet Services at Wherehouse Entertianment became a joint venture with Michael Ovitz and Ron Burkle. I developed a strategy around music, putting forth how it could be delivered to consumers online and in Wherehouse Music stores, which had recently acquired Blockbuster Music. A lot of my role was research and striking up relationships with the major hardware and software players in the space. Eventually this led me down the road of developing digital filling stations with IBM which never made it past the initial testing phase due to licensing concerns.
Manager, Internet Services
Established Wherehouse Entertainment's Internet presence, which included the creation of an extensive e-commerce site for both new and used physical products. What began as a two-person team embedded in an aging music retailer turned into a department of several people that worked with some of the pioneers in the digital music space such as Liquid Audio and Ted Cohen.Working with outside vendors, we built digital listening stations for physical stores and an e-commerce retail presence with music samples. Hey, it was the late 90's! The Internet Services team, which included a developer, designer, business development executive and customer service reps, became the foundational team for an exciting opportunity at CheckOut.com.
Product Manager, Ivisit
BoxTop was the premiere interactive agency, founded by Kevin Wall. iVisit was the first multi-party video chat application in the world, born from Kevin's desire to commercialize what Tim Dorcey and Jeff Han had started with CU-SeeMe. While at BoxTop I worked with companies like 3Com, Connectix and Real 3D to get iVisit bundled with their hardware and acted as a product evangelist on the open web.
