Served as project manager and independent contractor for multiple organizations, working on varied process improvement and systems implementation engagements. Mentored inexperienced team members into responsible roles. • Managed a seven-member team in the design, development, test, and implementation of a pilot electronic medical record system for 65 prison facilities nationwide; completed time and motion studies, and conducted business process reviews; implemented multiple business process improvements via custom reporting and other operational changes.• Managed four projects within a large academic medical center information technology and solutions department; managed $10 million budget. Responsible for contract negotiating, detailed work planning, budgeting and forecasting, and purchasing of hardware and software and services, as well as infrastructure coordination, interface development and testing, installation, training, and implementation. • Consulted with a large regional health plan to plan, build, and mentor an analysis and reporting team working within the eBusiness and Operations Departments. Role included hiring, training, and mentoring, working closely with the senior executive team, detailed analysis and report writing, project management, process improvements, and the development of cross-functional work teams. • Consulted with a national corporation and managed a project for a Website design engagement.
