This was a work attachment to be based at our London headquarters and also the world's biggest newsroom - the New broadcasting house. During this attachment at our London office, I was leading BBC's coverage of Indian general election in 2019 hand in hand with various editors and programme producers. A big part of this role was to plan and execute the coverage for BBC's English output along with my colleagues and editors at our London office. My role involved remote producing content with colleagues in India, then make sure all the rich content produced in India for our India audience travels to BBC's wider outlets that cater to global and domestic UK audience. I was chosen to be on this attachment for my in-depth and clear understanding of the strengths and expertise of my colleagues in India and how to match that with BBC's various programme outlets in London. This attachment was a memorable one in my career at the BBC. It was highly fulfilling as I could bring the best value to our coverage of India with the help of the expertise we have built at our India operation. I also ended up filing my own reports from London for our audience in India, diaspora audience in UK and for our world outlets.
