My passion is to develop young journalists into world class journalists and story tellers. I am a mentor to several senior journalists. Committed to improving women's representation and consumption of quality media content. A communicator and marketeer at all levels; negotiation, convincing and influencing are my core skills. I love working with people, building partnerships and forge collaborations for most efficient use of resources to delivers best possible outcomes.I started my career early at the age of 18 by selling a children's bi-monthly magazine in schools.I did a few more marketing jobs before I decided to be a journalist. My career in journalism started at the age of 20 as an intern with BBC news- leaders in breaking news and gold standard journalism. With over 15 years of experience with BBC, I have created a proven track record of producing compelling, high impact multi-media content that have the highest of editorial and production standards. I have also produced several documentaries for BBC news, BBC Studios and previously for Channel 4 and Al Jazeera. I am currently working in a leadership role as a team manager. My expertise is in producing news and features content from India for our global audience. I am also a part of BBC’s first Women's leadership programme aimed at nurturing future women leaders. Most recently, I was selected for leadership coaching by The Pipeline executive coaching firm in London.
