Hi I’m an APA Titled Sports & Exercise Physiotherapist, 1st year Registrar of the Australian College of Physiotherapists (Sports), Founder of POGO Physio, best-selling author of 'You CAN Run Pain Free!' , & host of The Physical Performance Show podcast.I enjoy helping endurance athletes (distance running, triathlon, and multisport) perform at their physical best. I’ve helped my clients experience some remarkable physical achievements including: winning Olympic Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals, gain selection onto the Australian Swimming Team, win World Championship Medals, triathletes win World Titles, Surf ironman claim multiple Nutri-Grain series victories, and an explorer trek 3000km across Antarctica to set a new world record. I’ve helped Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters on his last world tour.I've consulted to numerous National Sporting Organisations including: Triathlon Australia, Triathlon New Zealand, Athletics New Zealand, and British Triathlon. In 2014 I also provided services for the Bahrain Endurance 13 Triathlon Team.Throughout all of this experience in working with my clients, I’ve come to recognise that they experience three main problems:i. Qld Master Franchisor & Multi Site Franchisee (Mermaid Waters & Bundall)Back In Motion Health Group Sep 2009 - Apr 2014Mulgrave, Vic, AuI joined Back In Motion in 2009 and became QLD's first franchisee (Director). One year later I also invested in becoming the QLD Area Director (Master Franchisor).My chief motivation in joining a national franchise group was that I was attracted by the challenge of pioneering the brand in a new state -the state of QLD. In 2010 I commenced my journey as QLD Area Director whereby I set about pioneering the seeds of a practice network in QLD. While the group already had franchisees in VIC, and SA, QLD was unchartered. Whilst the QLD Area Director I achieved the birth of three further franchise outlets. The first was the 'sister practice' of my original practice Mermaid Waters- Bundall located just 3kms north of Mermaid Waters. I positioned my at the time Mermaid Waters partner Justin Mistry into Bundall's practice operations and as an equal partner as the practice launched in 2011. BIM Bundall today remains as a franchised practice . The second franchised practice to launch was Bribie Island. I assisted the franchisees source and negotiate a prime location site. I also assisted with the co-ordination and of the full interior fit out and with the build up to the practice opening and launch. The practice launched in 2012.The third franchised practice to launch was Mt Gravatt. I negotiated a sale of an existing practice whose outgoing owner was ready to move on. Into this practice I placed Ian Sung who like Justin Mistry at the time had been trained and developed through the Mermaid Waters practice. The practice also launched in 2012.In July 2013 I surrendered my QLD Franchisor's Agreement to the Franchisor. I returned to individual operations of the Mermaid Waters practice (then rebranded to POGO Physio). In the seperation from BIM I also surrendered my holdings of ACTIF and BIM Bundall. As a franchisee Mermaid Waters was the flagship practice in terms of revenue. We were the first practice to be awarded entry into the $1.5million club. -
