Despite my rewarding experience at Silicon Valley Bank, I made the decision to return home to help my family care for my Mother who was dying of a brain tumor.While this was a difficult period, I was ultimately rewarded with the extra time I got to spend with Mom and to experience the impact that she had had on her community. I was also able to assist the family with legal issues surrounding Mom's estate settlement and provide her with tax minimizing financial asset management.The experience I gained and skills I learned during this time gave me the confidence and direction to enter graduate school with a vision for a new career.
