Responsible for creating a new, streamlined system for both companies to control their expenditure. Established an efficient monthly management reporting system tailored to the directors’ requirements. The work done made the completion of the audit more efficient and cost effective.Key outcomes:• Conducted an in-depth review of the companies’ trial balance and interrogated entries in the companies’ expenditure• Reconciled balance sheet accounts, examined the companies’ fixed assets register, and reviewed the debtors and creditor balances• Instigated cash flow forecasts to track the expenditure of both companies, from which the companies’ costs budgets were designed • Correcting the payroll reporting to ensure that all costs to the company were captured to allow more accurate computation of the corporation tax liability

Provided maternity cover in a medium-sized private company, reporting directly to the Managing Director. The company were undergoing a number of changes, which I help them to navigate with information, data, and support.Responsible for:• Management accounts• Reporting to the bank dealing with the factoring of debt• Preparing the company for audit• Budgeting and cash flow forecasts• During my second period of cover I conducted further account management, reporting, cashflow forecasts and audit preparation for the business. The transition was seamless as the systems and workflows I introduced previously were still in place and operating successfully.

Worked as the Group Financial Accountant trouble-shooting various accounting systems. Implemented reconciliation procedures and designed management reports. I joined at a time when the company was going through significant change, in the way of acquisitions, mergers and system changes. I worked closely with the IT department, rewriting system programs to allow for better reporting of data. Led the financial accounts team responsible for the group's balance sheet and prepared the company for audit.
