CurrentClaims Representative~Attended loss locations to investigate and evaluate damage claims in the Southern Ontario area managing approximately 60 to 75 files~Assigned contractors, engineers, private investigators and other professional experts as required~Established appropriate loss and expense reserves for insurers on risk to establish the unpaid cost of insured events to date~Met with insureds, claimants, witnesses, and anyone with information to secure statements, take photographs and take scenes to reproduce on the computer using the SmartDraw program~Wrote timely and accurate reports for insurers and made recommendations to the insurers to inform decision making~Maintained telephone contact with insureds, insurers, claimants, defense counsel, third party solicitors and anyone necessary throughout the claim process to maintain quality service and competitiveness~Prepared Proofs of Loss (interim and final), Full and Final Releases, Non-Waiver Agreements, Reservation of Rights Letters, Schedules of Loss, Schedules of Payment, and other schedules as required~Negotiated claim settlements with claimants, lawyers, and insurers, always well within the authority given
