Working dynamically within a small teaching team, I pride myself on the positive learning experience of my students. Continuously taking on staff and student feedback and seeking out improvements wherever possible to increase their engagement and understanding of the topics covered. I have actively sought out information and guidance on how to better engage students with learning difficulties and behavioural problems, evidenced by previous students with Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and other learning challenges leaving incredibly positive feedback on exit forms and in quality assurance (IQA & EQA) interviews. I take a pragmatic approach to course scope and commercials to ensure good workload and time management.- Delivering Level 1 courses in Performing Manufacturing Operations, Introduction to MIG/MAGS Welding and Introduction to MMA/Stick Welding. Many of these courses being taught to those who are unemployed through Sector-based Work Academy Programmes (SWAPs) and delivered at training centres across the country.- Assisting other tutors in delivering Level 2 and Level 3 apprenticeship training when required.- Delivering Full Cost Recovery (FCR) courses both on-site and at the training centres on topics such as Oxy-Fuel cutting, Plasma cutting and introductory welding courses.- Creating lesson and session plans, along with the accompanying learning materials.- Maintaining workshop standards, inventory management and equipment repairs and maintenance.

Working in both workshop and on-site settings, covering many aspects of vintage vehicle repair and restoration. Work experience covers vintage/classic cars, classic tractors and steam powered vehicles such as miniature traction engines, steam rollers and classic railway rolling stock. - Sheet metal fabrication, pattern making and panel forming for vintage vehicles. - MIG welding bodywork up to 2mm thick. Confident and consistent with best welding preparation practices. - Traditional brush painting and paint prep including sanding, filling, flatting back and other paint prep tasks. - Proficient with power tools such as grinders, plasma cutting and oxy-acetylene cutting with the attitude that a fine finish can be achieved with “coarse” tools. - Refurbishing and overhauling vintage components such as steam valves. - General manual handling and following safe working practices.

Establishing myself as the company’s specialist in cycling design, I expanded my understanding of commercial realities at these larger scales. High workloads and increased responsibility improved my prioritisation and time management skills, teaching the importance of delegation and utilising and engaging with a business’s wider resources and knowledgeavailable.- Developed ranges that better suited key commercial price points with a focus on improved stock management with an improved unisex fit. Designs better suited the wider audience the products were now marketed towards. Improving product appeal and with after-sales support thanks to reduced component complexity.- Overhauled the company’s Cycling Accessories, achieving significant product elevation by improving functionality and product appeal, setting cycling up for lasting improved profit contribution.- Developed updated branding and brand guideline documents for group cycling brands to ensure consistency and integrity as the brands grow within the business and wider market.

Noteworthy Experience Includes: - Creation of training, process, and reference documents.- Creation of completely restructured servicing pricing structures, promotional material, and shop signage.- Bicycle servicing including complete strip-down refurbishment.- Project Officer for a local mental health focused project which involved communication with local councils and charities.

Design and product development of Pinnacle, Hoy and Muddyfox bikes within a small team. Wide-ranging product management experience including developing BOM specs, frame designs and graphics packages all from concept to production sample checking with factories overseas. Role also included managing brand support: sourcing and managing spares, creating internal marketing and after-sales support for stores and customer support.- Played a significant role in moving the Pinnacle and Hoy bikes to a “95% built” production and distribution model, a project that saved the business £2M/year.- Optimised frame designs and component choices by focusing on availability and serviceability to reduce supply chain complexity and improve the customer experience.- Responsible for a the successful “Hoy SL” models. An enhanced, lighter weight range so popular it was taken from limited edition to a continuity range.

Customer service role that developed into a partial bike builder and workshop mechanic role. - During this role I continued to grow and develop my extensive knowledge of bicycle components, understanding of geometry and features and benefits of accessories. - Gained experience interacting with suppliers/distributors. - Gained experience assembling, fault finding and servicing bike. Including hub rebuilds and wheel lacing

Duties Include: Serving real ales, lagers and ciders with an elevated level of understanding of the brewing processes, beer types and flavours to provide a superior customer experience. Changing and removal of cask barrels and cleaning of their lines, supporting in both opening and closing shifts including cleaning of pumps, trays, bar runners and equipment as well as locking of doors. The processing of food orders and waiting tables, cleaning of tables and surfaces as well as glass collection to maintain a high quality, welcoming environment as well as keeping behind the bar clean and tidy to maintain a hygienic workplace. Additionally, this position gave me a small amount of experience in a kitchen environment.

Duties Included: Communicating with customers and processing orders with live music only a few meters away from the bar. Changing kegs and cleaning their lines, closing down the bar (including both cleaning of behind the bar and locking up areas of the building), helping keep fridges and displays stocked up and presentable as well as glass collection and table cleaning. Other aspects of this position include cash handling and operation of a till in poor lighting.

Duties Included: Processing deliveries, orders and dispatches, stock control – levels and organisation, warehouse reorganisation. I also advised customers who came into the store about products that would most appropriate for them and helped other staff with their duties particularly locating products throughout the warehouse. This position greatly helped develop my inter personnel skills and taught me how to deal with a wide range of individuals and personalities.

Customer service role that served as my introduction to formal employment. -The role required me to work in multiple areas within the store so I had to learn to integrate into a number of established teams with various social dynamics. -Another responsibility was visual merchandising: cleaning, restocking and restructuring displays and points of sale, notably the Christmas in-store displays and decorations.
