As a contract IT Support Specialist, I am the primary point of contact for on-site IT-related issues at Five charter schools; Three Oaks Public School Academy, New Branches Charter Academy, Muskegon Montessori Academy for Environmental Change, West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science, and Battle Creek Montessori Academy.I resolve issues reported by teachers and staff based on priority and by utilizing a ticketing system.I also manage the IT Infrastructure of Servers, Switches, and Routers to ensure efficient access to Internet, Email, Login, VOIP, and Security services. My responsibilities include troubleshooting and assisting with a variety of devices, such as printers,Windows & Macintosh laptops, projectors, student Chromebooks, iPads, cameras, speakers, switches,and routers.I maintain records and track inventory for these devices to ensure efficient management andaccountability.

As a Student Technician, my primary duties are in service of the faculty and staff members of the College of Arts and Science at Western Michigan University. All assistance is to ensure said individuals have functioning technical equipment such as desktops, laptops, printers, and projectors. The tasks I routinely assist with include: - Properly documenting incoming and outgoing equipment- Imaging, updating, and preparing issued devices (Mac and Windows)- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues with computers (Mac and Windows), printers, and projectors through the Salesforce ticketing system- Retrieving unserviceable and/or unsupported equipment to be securely erased- Setting up new lab stations

After my active USMC contract ended I switched to a reserve unit near St. Louis, MO. I worked one weekend a month as well as a two week training exercise and a two week leadership course. My job at this time was Data Systems Administrator, and after some time I became the Data Chief. My primary tasks during this time included practicing and teaching switching and routing concepts and managing logistics for over 50 Marines.

During the Fall and Spring I worked as part of the flex staff, performing various duties such as leading a multitude of outdoor classes such as team building, hiking, aquatic ecology, etc., belaying up to 100 patrons in a day for high ropes courses.

During my time at U.S. Embassy in Warsaw, Poland, I provided security for Department of State employees, property, and classified material.My additional tasks and experience gained at this Embassy include- Daily security operations such as employee access control, CCTV monitoring, security roves, and team oriented situational drills. - Conducting maintenance, cataloging, and procurement of equipment for Marine Security Guards such as weapon systems, body armor, and medical supplies- During the Marine House move, I took inventory of all household items and ensured their delivery to the new house or storage unit - Conducted Chemical, Biological, Radioactive, Nuclear (CBRN) threat training for Marine Detachment

During my time at U.S. Consulate in Cape Town, South Africa, I provided security for Department of State employees, property, and classified material.My additional tasks and experience gained at this Embassy include- Daily security operations such as employee access control, CCTV monitoring, security roves, and team oriented situational drills. - Conducting maintenance, cataloging, and procurement of equipment for Marine Security Guards such as weapon systems, body armor, and medical supplies- Procured replacements for over 200 mission essential items

During my time at U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic, I provided security for Department of State employees, property, and classified material.My additional tasks and experience gained at this Embassy include- Daily security operations such as employee access control, CCTV monitoring, security roves, and team oriented situational drills. - Conducting maintenance, cataloging, and procurement of equipment for Marine Security Guards such as weapon systems, body armor, and medical supplies- Implemented a new online inventory systems for cataloging, order, and returning equipment

To train as a Marine Security Guard (MSG), I attended the Marine Corps Embassy Security Guard (MCESG) school in Quantico, VA conducted by the Department of State (DOS).During my 3 month course I gained the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure the security of Department of State employees, property, and classified material at U.S. Embassies.This knowledge and these skills include:- Various DOS policies such as classification levels, employee hierarchy (Chain-of-Command), and access control procedures- Interpersonal conflict resolution lessons including compliance levels, de-escalation tactics, self-defense, and detaining individuals- Situational drills including intruders, natural disasters, and bomb threats- Security equipment such as CCTV and alarm systems, magnetic door controls, and radios/phones- Historical lessons regarding prior security incidents at U.S. Embassies- Various lessons with firearms such as safety, situational usage, building and compound clearing, and proper maintenance.

I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps as a Data Network Specialist (0651/0671). During my training at Cyber Network Operator Course 7-16 in Twenty-Nine Palms California, I learned the following: - Basic software & hardware computer concepts- Switching & routing concepts- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Modules 1 & 2 for Networking Concepts- Domain Controller creation and maintenanceAs a Data Network Specialist in Cherry Point, North Carolina, my primary task was the implementation of secure private network sites with the purpose of allowing internet and email access between sites. To achieve this goal, my tasks included - Accurate record keeping of various equipment to include switches, routers, and end devices. - Teaching basic switching and routing concepts to incoming Marines- Practicing server, switch, and router configurations in preparation for training exercises- Implementing maintaining, and modifying said configurations during training exercises

During my Summers working at Wyman Center I acted as a camp counselor and trek staff member. As a camp counselor, I counseled and supervised up to 40 at-risk teen youth during exponential learning activities that included physical activities, mental challenges, and education focused classes.As a Trek Staff Member I worked within a small team of 4 to facilitate 4-day outdoor lifestyle experiences for over 30 teens. These excursions included outdoor lessons such as tent living, hiking, canoeing, and other challenges. I also lead river expeditions and attained First Aid/CPR & Certified River Rescue certifications. During the Fall and Spring I worked as part of the flex staff, performing various duties such as leading a multitude of outdoor classes such as team building, hiking, aquatic ecology, etc., belaying up to 100 patrons in a day for high ropes courses, and lifeguarding.

During the Winters of 2013 and 2014 I worked as equipment rental staff. These duties included distributing various rental equipment such as boots, skis, and snowboards, as well as maintaining and organizing said equipment.
