I lead a multi-location team of incredible Recruiters focussed on growing Google's Software Engineering presence in Poland... one of our highest priority locations. Managing up to 10 team members during my time in this role, I’m responsible for all aspects of people management from hiring and onboarding through to setting targets / expectations and ongoing career development. Responsible for Engineering Management hiring for the GCP (Cloud) business in Poland, helping to increase the overall site leadership structure and facilitate further growth and investment that has carried on to date.Acting as the lead point of contact for the Poland Engineering leadership team, conducting regular business reviews discussing all aspects of progress being made to both overall delivery and efforts related to improving site wide levels of representation.Led a small team of recruiters and sourcers (6) which involved taking overall accountability for the recruiting efforts of the pod, establishing new reporting and process structures and acting as a mentor to a number of newer members.Achievements:- Over-achieved against all hiring targets each quarter and annually (163% of target in final year before changing role)- Introduced a new Code Review interview pilot for use in EMEA Eng Management hiring - still adopted by Google today- Led a workstream focussed on increasing the passthrough rate of senior candidates at interview to bring it closer into alignment with EMEA benchmarks resulting in a 15% increase in successful onsite interviews.
