• Operated and maintained new X-ray scattering instrument. Trained in WAXS, SAXS, and USAXS X-ray scattering techniques and assisted new users in applying these techniques to their own research. • Created and maintained records of new and existing users’ level of training in using the instrument. • Wrote a python script to help users convert data from EDF to TIFF format, improving data analysis.

• Prepared oriented samples of lipid model membrane (LMM) and antimicrobial peptide (AMP) solutions. • Collected X-ray diffuse scatter data at the Cornell High Energy Synchrotron Source (CHESS).• Used Low-Angle and Wide-Angle X-ray Spectroscopy to determine bending modulus, chain-order parameter, and electron density profiles of rationally designed AMPs in LMMs. • Finalist in the Carnegie Mellon University-wide Sigma Xi poster competition.

• Created animated videos explaining the behavior of 6 ultra high temperature ceramics. • Presented results to an audience of 30+.

• Used HEASOFT software to model gas in galaxy clusters from X-ray data and determine ionization levels. • Collaborated with 5 undergraduate and graduate students to choose promising targets for future detection of X-ray haloes from gravitational wave sources.

• Oversaw boat rental operations at 3 locations, including maintaining rental equipment and prepared equipment for tours. • Taught kayaking and paddleboarding lessons to groups of 10 children ages 8-12.

• Used Swift and Apple XCode to write an iPhone app called Pinpoint, designed to make information on reproductive health more inclusive and accessible. • Includes a map of LGBTQ+ friendly clinics in Manhattan.
