Project manage the 18 month, 40 site MPLS and QoS deployment across microwave, DWDM and GWIP technologies. Additionally implement 802.1x as the perimeter security component and associated management tools. This was a complex delivery replacing routing and switching hardware at 40 sites, including redundant hardware and configuration within two data centres. The key was to minimise risk and ensure zero impact to the critical infrastructure controlling water and waste for the city of Melbourne. This involved the planning, documenting, representing at CAB and testing of over 360 changes to the infrastructure in 264 days. The quality of the delivery was controlled by the production of over 2000 pages of test plans, and over 5000 pages of implementation plans.
