I lead two engineering organizations at LinkedIn - Creators and Content Platform. The Creators team is responsible for delivering the best possible experience for the content creators who power conversations on LinkedIn with their original contributions. Major areas of investment include content-based Identity in the LI Profile (Creator Mode), enhanced Creator Analytics, and audience building tools like Newsletters and Live Video.The Content Platform team owns the source-of-truth services which store the member shares, comments and reactions, and edges which are the building blocks of LI's content ecosystem. Back-end distributed systems solving product use cases are my technical happy place.At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic I took on an additional role as engineering lead for LinkedIn's Live Events virtual team, which brought together our Events and Live Video products to build a new offering for the world of remote work and events, including interactive audio events.

Kindle Content Store TeamSeptember 2009 – July 2011Senior engineer on the Kindle Content Store team, which owns the e-book purchase experience through the Amazon.com retail website and the on-device content store for Kindle devices.Led major projects to expand the Kindle business globally, including the launch of the Kindle store in the United Kingdom. * Designed and implemented distributed infrastructure to support seamless migration of Kindle customer accounts across domains and data centers. * Rearchitected the on-device store for 4th generation Kindle devices to support shopping experiences in local languages, and coordinated a major offshore development effort to complete implementation.Product Compliance TeamAugust 2007 – September 2009Wrote Amazon's first automated product recall system, which responded to product recalls by locking down inventory and cancelling in-progress shipments throughout Amazon's fulfillment network.Designed and implemented Amazon's first automated system for enforcing hazardous material storage and shipping regulations, which allowed Amazon to expand its product offerings while protecting employees and customers. Customer Returns TeamJuly 2005 - August 2007We owned the end-to-end customer returns experience, including the customer facing website, the associate-facing returns UI and the back-end refund processing logic for Amazon.com.
