PCs for People is a certified secure IT Asset Disposition and e-waste recycling service with a national footprint. We were founded in 1998 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit social enterprise with the mission to provide low or no cost Windows based PCs and laptops, low cost broadband service, and digital literacy services to underserved individuals and communities. Brian served as market leader for Georgia.

Organized and led staff of 18 in a rapidly changing environment to: 1) develop/review legislation including passing over $3 Trillion in spending bills, 2) learn and leverage new tools to communicate on a large scale via town halls and eNewsletters, 3) provide constituent services, and 4) manage a $1.4M annualized budget.

Fort Mac is the organization planning and executing the redevelopment of Fort McPherson, the 486-acre former Army post that closed in 2011. Key Accomplishments;Brian leads the Authority in setting a vision for revitalizing a community that has been disinvested for so long few believe positive change is possible. More than just setting a vision, Brian inspires employees, partners, volunteers, and community members to implement that vision to create new development that serves people of all income levels, with a focus on affordable housing, affordable retail, and employment opportunities for the disadvantaged. Under Brian's leadership the Authority has raised over $22M from local, state, and Federal partners to implement new construction, rehabilitation, bike/ped trails, transit oriented development, and smart cities projects, in support of new housing and retail for all income levels.Key Drivers:- Translate vision to annual strategic priorities to maintain alignment of employees daily activities.- Leverage public resources to attract private investment to dis-invested communities.- Partner with private sector organizations that share the vision to build new development for people of all income levels, including affordable, workforce, and supportive housing.- Create a replicable model for reinvestment that will extend the benefit of Fort Mac's redevelopment to other communities.- Manage $3.5M annual budgets, preserving cash position and achieving low-risk auditee status.- Drove master plan design to include pedestrian connectivity to MARTA and the Atlanta BeltLine.- Launched 501c3 to engage philanthropic community at Fort Mac and in surrounding areas.

Executive in charge of real estate and related functions. Expanded responsibilities included oversight of assets, facilities management, and information technology. Led development and implementation of Real Estate strategy; identified key targeted properties and assembled innovative funding and financing approaches. Led acquisitions and dispositions in core real estate (parks/trails/transit), right of way (easements), re- development sites & projects with affordable housing components. Completed over 100 transactions to date.Managed assets across 800+ acre portfolio, with focus on maintenance (oversight of property management contractor), improvement (lead construction and installation projects) and public safety (interface with Atlanta Police’s PATH Force). Also generate revenues through leasing and licensing of real property.Regularly interfaced with senior leadership at the Atlanta Mayor’s office, Atlanta City Council, Invest Atlanta, Atlanta BeltLine Partnership, and numerous public, private and not for profit entities.Led our organization’s relocation into 15,000 square feet of historic office space, including space planning, workstation and furniture procurement, interior construction projects, and move management.Managed procurement of new Information Technology vendor, and oversaw successful migration to new server and VoIP platforms.

Honored with CBRE Rising Star Award.Associate, Brokerage Services Provided transaction management and advisory services for clients ranging from local firms to multinational corporations. Executed business development to secure clients for multi-year service agreements. Completed an average of 15 transactions annually to enhance corporate restructuring for a leading North American parking provider, contributing over $12M annually while divesting under-performing properties.Executed national disposition program for one of North America's largest building materials manufacturers, generating $40M annually through an average of 22 transactions per year. Managed transaction activity of field brokers, both CBRE and third party.Developed leases, purchase and sale agreements, due diligence packages, broker opinions of value, status reports, marketing packages, and financial analyses.Honored as a National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) Developing Leader.
