About Brett Isenberg
My current interests include the development of high-throughput in vitro tissue-based models for studying drug delivery and toxicity, scale-up and automation of engineered tissue construction and microfluidics-based extracorporeal blood oxygenation (ECMO). I have extensive experience in the area of regenerative medicine/tissue engineering for cardiovascular applications using microscale patterning and surface modification to guide tissue morphogenesis and neovascularization. In addition, my research has given my a strong background in the areas of microfluidics, advanced manufacturing, mechanotransduction, biomaterials, and integrated cell culture platform development. Specialties: Tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, microfabrication, microfluidics, bioreactor design, surface modification, hydrogels, mechanical testing, atomic force microscopy, biopolymers
