For over 20 years now, I've been committed to serving and collaborating with Christian organizations - navigating a lot of ups and downs. I began the journey working at North Central University, where I discovered the profound impact a faith-based institution could have on students’ lives while I worked within the Student Life division. I then spent 12 years serving at Geneva College. After a couple of different roles, I was asked to assume the role of Vice President of Student Development (crazy!). It was only with a great team and God's grace, that I provided strategic leadership for student programs, services, and athletics. Prior to my current SVP role at FaithSearch Partners, I spent five years as a consultant (maybe 'recovering administrator'?), guiding Christian organizations through staffing challenges and organizational development.Somehow, I've been able to survive a lot of experiences that allow me to bring expertise (read: what not to do?) in shaping organizational culture, fostering leadership development, strategizing executive-level hiring strategies, optimizing team dynamics, and enhancing educational management practices. I was able to convince my friend Keith to co-author "Storied Leadership: Living and Leading from the Christian Narrative," a book that offers a perspective on leadership that is developed from the rich story of the Scriptures. In a true labor of love, I also worked with an incredible group of individuals to release "Reimagining the Student Experience: Formative Practices for Changing Times," a book designed to help professionals working in student affairs on Christian college campuses (truly only possible due to my co-editor, and dear friend, Sarah).North Central University saw enough to grant me a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. And then I truly fell in love with education at Geneva College while I attained a Master’s degree in Higher Education with an emphasis in Educational Leadership.I navigate life’s adventures alongside my wife Sara (a rockstar - she might actually be a superhero in disguise) and our four kids, Toby, Zoe, Levi, and Mira (who range from young adult to grade-schooler - our house is a bit crazy). We currently call The Woodlands, TX home.
