    β€’ Designed/Developed new Front End/Middle Tier for the eFocus application. eFocus is an online filing system mandated to Securities firms by the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC).β€’ Designed the eFocus middle tier as a set of Services wired through Spring dependency injection. Services are exposed to the GWT layer using GWT RPC. Transaction and logging concerns are handled using Spring AOP.β€’ The eFocus client is GWT based with a Strong reliance on the EXT widget toolkit.β€’ The eFocus DAO layer is a thin wrapper around a Hibernate based Model.β€’ Facilitated code reviews for my team and other teams within our larger group.β€’ eFocus uses an AOP based, service level capability model. AOP pointcuts are used to allow/deny service method access based on a defined set of user capabilities.β€’ Assisted in the conversion of 10+ thousand lines of Ajax based Javascript to GWT.β€’ Wrote module to update confluence wiki page with build and release information. This involved having a custom ANT task send REST messages via the confluence REST plugin.

All development done using Websphere Application Server (versions 5.1 and 6.0)July 2004 - June 2005 Lead the redesign of Nextel Online Store's shopping cart. Re-designed to use Struts/JSPs on the front end communicating with an EJB Facade layer to track customer state during the shopping process.June 2005 - December 2005 Extended the EJB Facade to track customer state through the Online Store's checkout process. Lead the design of a policy framework to modularize complex business rules executed as a users order is taken. Partially converted the Web controller layer from Struts to Spring MVC.January 2006 - August 2006 Lead the redesign of the Order Placement module. The Order Placement Module processes Online Store orders, using a series of queues to track the order from placement to billing, provisioning, plan activation, customer service registration, etc.September 2006 - May 2007 Lead the integration of Sprint and Nextel's Online Stores. Prior to this release, CDMA phones/rate plans (used by Sprint) where sold through a different application then iDEN phones/rate plans (used by Nextel). May 2007 - March 2008 Lead the WAS 6.0 upgrade effort for the Sprint Online Store application suite.

Released three versions of this product.December 2000 Added a Customer VPN provisioning tool to our application suite. This system used the corporate EAI to pass user provisioning requests from a front end web application to middle tier Weblogic EJBs. This system also included a comprehensive router configuration module to handle the actual VPN provisioning on Cisco VPN routers.August 2001 Retooled our reporting engine to support ICS Financial reporting from the ICS rating and settlement database (Pisces). This application is currently in production.June 2002 Took over management of the Least Cost Routing application. At the time LCR was dying a slow death due to lack of process and baselined requirements. Baselined requirements and delivered application to test team December 2002 and deployed to production February 2003.(See Resume for more details)
