With a passion for climate justice and energy transitions, I aspire to have a career that allows me to be a changemaker. My experiences in college advocating for community solar programs and Union College’s climate action plan and leading sustainability initiatives across campus gave me a taste for building relationships and strategies to enact policy change, while my degree in mechanical engineering has given me the technical literacy to understand the nuances of energy systems and carbon emissions data processes. I enjoy cross-disciplinary work, and have never learned more than in my recent experience traveling across SE Asia, Eastern Europe, and Argentina as a Thomas J. Watson Fellow. This fellowship allowed me to travel completely independently for 14 months while connecting with and volunteering for organizations like Friends of the Earth and Greenpeace across a number of different social, political, and economic contexts, further inspiring me in my mission to use my career to contribute to intersectional climate change mitigation.
