Ben is a Partner at Clyde & Co LLP, which is a large international law firm headquartered in London and with 50 offices globally. Our Saudi office consists of 45 people, 70% of whom are Saudi nationals.Ben established Clyde & Co's Saudi construction practice in 2012 and that practice has since grown to become market-leading in the Kingdom. Ben has been resident in Riyadh throughout this 10-year period. Ben is recognized as a “Leading Individual” by Legal 500, a "Thought Leader" on Who’s Who Legal and has also been listed in Chambers for a number of years. Ben’s clients include government and private developers, contractors and consultants.Ben is also Head of our Middle East Projects & Construction practice group, which comprises 7 partners across 4 offices and around 30 staff. In addition, following service as Chair of the Middle East Executive Committee, Ben joined the Middle East & Africa Board in November 2023.After starting his career in Australia, Ben has built up 21 years of experience in providing transactional, claims and dispute advice on construction projects in (among others) Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Iraq and Bahrain.Ben’s legal practice is premised on delivering value to clients by providing pragmatic, commercial advice based on his deep experience in the region. This includes detailed knowledge of local construction contracting practices (including government procurement and FIDIC under Saudi law) and dispute resolution processes (including local courts and Saudi and international arbitration).Ben holds Bachelor of Law (Honours) and Bachelor of Science degrees, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and a Diploma in International Arbitration. Ben is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria, Australia, and is a registered foreign lawyer in the United Kingdom.
