I have been working in higher education administration for the past fifteen years. Currently, I serve as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs for the College of Social Work at Florida State University. My position allows me to combine a couple of my passions. I love to teach and I also find college administration to be a very challenging and rewarding activity. Our top ranked college serves over 800 students and we offer BSW, MSW, and Ph.D. degree programs. Our BSW Program recruits high caliber students and was recently recognized as one of the top 25 BSW Programs in the nation. Many of our BSW graduates go on to pursue their MSW degrees. We were the first college in the nation to offer a CSWE accredited fully online MSW program. That program is currently ranked as one of the 10 best in the nation . The online format has provided access to students who might not have been able to pursue their advanced degree without it. We also run campus-based MSW programs in Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Gainesville, and Panama City. Currently, almost one-half of our current MSW graduate students are engaged in courses in one of our distance learning programs. Our Ph.D. program recruits and produces top-notch researchers and educators who go on to positions in many of the top social work programs across the nation.Specialties: I bring over 12 years of clinical social work experience to my current position. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida with extensive experience in residential substance abuse treatment and community mental health.
