Led the turnaround of the fiscal operations of this $10M, multi-service non-profit organization. Devised and implemented internal controls and recruited knowledgeable staff. Brought on board as Director of Finance and subsequently promoted to CFO/COO for the Kaplan Professional division to lead all accounting, finance, and logistics teams of a $200M portfolio of professional education businesses across the US, India, and South Africa. As Director of Finance, led operating and capital budget processes and management reporting for 10+ legal entities operating in over 30 countries and 16 different currencies.✅ Notable acquisitions and executed deals include a $10M shared service center in Delhi, India, a $60M nationwide B2B distributor, and a $8M South Africa software distributor.✅ Led the financial due diligence on a potential acquisition, identifying a significant $3M issue on the $30M deal leading to the cancellation of the acquisition and the elimination of financial risk to the company.✅ Directly influenced and changed organizational behavior regarding Kaplan Professional’s shared services business viewed as an expensive, $27M bottleneck. Built a series of workflows within the shared services group that identified $11M of direct operating costs incorrectly allocated to the shared services business.✅ Took over and turned around a failed distribution center startup, driving operational and software efficiencies and improvements that improved on-time shipment by 60%, cut costs $500K, and achieved 99.7% accuracy on picking and shipping within one year.✅ Drove target setting, consolidation process, reporting, and review of annual and three-year budget processes for $2B revenue global enterprise with a scope of responsibility that included $100M in capital planning.

Held full responsibility for all customer, employee and corporate objectives of business with 350 employees and 16 major airline customers. ✅ Designed, planned, and executed the consolidation of 3 operations, customers, and employee groups ultimately reducing variable costs by $1.5M annually.✅ Negotiated and won 5 new international customer accounts (Brazil, Colombia and Argentina) worth $7.5M in annual revenue.
