Primary responsibilities included taking mock-ups from the UI team and creating a working proto-type using Microsoft Expression Blend 3.0 to design the UI and Silverlight 3.0 as the core web technology.Designed and developed a MDI style user interface consisting of a TreeView and a content panel.The proto-type was built using leveraging the Model-View View-Model (MVVM) design pattern. All controls were bound using data binding to the ViewModel.Generated the data access layer using LINQ to SQL combined with .NET RIA and WCF web services for the service and data layers.The following Silverlight controls were leveraged to build the prototype: TreeView (using hierarchical data templates), DataGrid, Expander, Accordion, TabControl, GridSplitter, ChildWindow, DataPager, DockPanel, DataForm, ScrollViewer, Complex Grid and StackPanel layouts.The programming methodology was a combination of Agile and Spiral techniques. Due to the fact that a design document did not exist, requirements constantly changed as we wrote and re-wrote code to keep up with the iteration of changes.

PROJECT 1: Senior developer and technical lead on San Diego Gas and Electric’s corporate intranet website (Build on C#, ASP .NET 2.0, SQL Server 2000, n-Tier architecture). Primary responsibilities were to interpret new requirements, collaborate with our business analysis, produce design specifications, and implement the new functionality.- Worked with customer to track feature set enhancements and address defects.- Designed and implemented server side business logic related to processing and tracking new and existing customer enrollments.- Designed and implemented a UI (.NET GridView) to display service points (or meters) and their particular status, current bill rate, what customer they were assigned to etc.- Defined custom “canned” and “ad-hoc” reports that were used by SDG&E to submit to the state on a quarterly basis to show the number of customers, what programs the customers were enrolled in, and many other metrics that were required by the state to determine program eligibility.- Direct Technology had a “home-grown” code generator that was used to generate the data access layer and standard CRUD methods. Just about every standard toolbox control was used on this project along with the Infragistics TabControl and Rich Text editor control.- The programming methodology was the Waterfall pattern. We had very structured requirements gathering procedures along with clear and concise requirement and design specifications that identified the exact features to implement.PROJECT 2: Developer on Microsoft Club Live (AKA: Club Bing) gaming website.- Re-skinned the website based on graphics that were provided by a Third-Party. Migrated much of the imbedded tables to use pure CSS for optimal browser compatibility.- Wrote new dashboard UI pages that displayed the member’s prizes, ticket balance and many other details related to member game play.- The programming methodology was Agile/Scrum.

Designed and developed network element drivers for telecom based equipment, such as Cisco routers, DSLAM's, AT&T class 4 and 5 switches, Digital Cross-Connects (DCS's). Device drivers were written in either VB6 or C# and wrapped in a COM library. The primary functionality of the network element drivers is identified below:- Network Element Discovery: Near real-time element, network and service discovery features for inventory and root cause correlation functions. Driver supported querying network element for its configuration and then parsed and stored response data in SQL 2000 database.- Service Assurance: Real-time managed element, network and service assurance for fault and performance monitoring. Driver supported parsing incoming device telemetry data and then applied pre-defined business rules to generate alarms in Ai Metrix's OSS software.- Service Configuration and Activation: Driver supported the ability to send specific commands based on the supported language of a network element (i.e. TL1, SNMP, CORBA etc). Commands were chained together to allow the dynamic configuration or activation of a new service such as a DSL line.

Designed, developed and implemented network element drivers to manage various telecommunication equipment. Solutions were designed utilizing Rational Rose UML methodologies and developed using a proprietary “rule based” system combined with custom Java code.Designed and developed an application on the J2EE platform that provided the ability to create “Service Activation Objects” which were leveraged by a proprietary OSS system to facilitate the execution of various commands to network elements during the activation of new services (such as new DSL subscriber lines). Technologies used to provide solution: - Core Java Swing 1.2 components- MDI interface allowing the user to browse objects via a TreeView. Objects in the TreeView could be modified by selecting on the item in the tree view which would spawn one or more window panes in the MDI interface. The user had the ability to make modifications through a form based window panel(s) that were displayed in the right hand side of the UI. - Multi-threaded dynamically updated TreeView components that rendered visual elements such as the type, status and state of a TreeNode. Each node was associated with a custom menu based on the node type to allow the user to perform particular actions through the UI.
