Brad Dayspring is Executive Vice President of Global Communications and Brand at POLITICO. He is a highly skilled communications strategist with significant public and private sector experience in media relations, public policy, marketing, and brand development. Brad has appeared on national news programs on Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, CBS, ABC and Bloomberg. At POLITICO, Brad is the “keeper of the brand,” and works with key stakeholders in North America and Europe to develop and execute a global communications and brand strategy. Prior to joining POLITICO, Brad worked in several different capacities in politics and government. During his tenure as Communications Director for the NRSC, he was part of a team that helped elect 12 incumbents & 12 new candidates to the Senate (the most in more than 35 years). Prior, Brad was one of Majority Leader Eric Cantor's most trusted aides. POLITICO noted that in his role as Deputy Chief of Staff, Dayspring established himself as one of "the House Republican Conference's savviest" operatives, and the National Journal wrote that, "he is regarded—in both the policy and communications realms—as one of the best Republican operatives in Washington." From 2005-2008, he was among the first professional staff members to advocate for bloggers and an increased presence on non-traditional platforms, including aggressively utilizing emerging social media platforms to drive message, build advocacy campaigns, & engage in debate. In 2010, he developed and executed the public relations strategy for the New York Times Best Selling book, "Young Guns: A New Generation of Conservative Leaders," authored by Cantor, Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy, and Budget Chairman Paul Ryan. During his time on Capitol Hill, he also served as a top strategist for House Financial Services Chairman Jeb Hensarling and Communications Director for Congressman Chris Smith (R-NJ).His experience also extends to the White House where he served as President George W. Bush's Deputy Director of Press Advance. Dayspring was named to four consecutive Roll Call Fabulous 50 Lists of Capitol Hill’s leading staffers, as well as to The Hill’s “35 Staffers to Watch Under 35.” He graduated from Villanova University and was the Captain of their NCAA Division I Independent ice-hockey team.
