Senior Paramedic
CurrentIn addition to paramedic duties listed in previous position, senior responsibilities include:- Acting lead paramedic on all dispatched 911 calls assigned to my crew to control rescue scenes and ensure the effective delivery of emergency care- Continued training of new EMTs in the 911 system once cleared by initial trainer including but not limited to: company posting plan and post location, inventory, equipment use, patient care, radio reports, hand-off reports, and patient documentation- Management of EMTs and junior paramedics on 911 call responses assigned to my crew- Paramedic intern knowledge evaluation with regards to patient care, medication doses, low frequency procedures, daily paramedic skills, and critical thinking and patient triage in fast-paced environments - Instruction, training, and mentoring of paramedic interns in local protocols, procedures, patient safety, and equipment usage- Oversight of paramedic interns' patient care and radio/hospital hand-off reports- Providing guidance to EMT and junior paramedics with patient report documentation
