Born on 1st January, 1962 at Gourpara of Nadia(WB). After completion of matriculation , I had joined Indian Air Force(IAF), in the year 1980 and served there upto 02/07/1989. While performing my duties in IAF, I further honed my Technical Skills by doing dual Diplomas in Electrical Engineering and Diploma in Technology and various other specialised courses. For my outstanding performance in IAF, I had awarded “09 years Long Service Medal (Indian Air Force/Military). After completing BA (Economics, Military Training etc.), I had joined CRPF in the year 1989 as DAGO’s as Deputy SP. After Basic Training, I was assigned the task of curbing the menace of Militancy/Insurgency, which was at it’s highest peak in Punjab and North Eastern States during 1989-1995. As DSP I always used to lead the troops from the front in various operations in various Militancy and Maoists infested areas of the country, like Jammu Kashmir, Assam, Punjab, Tripura, Manipur etc. I got the opportunity to serve in the Central Training College, CRPF, Avadi/Coimbatore in the year 1997, where I had proved my acumen in perfectly shaping the troops. Went to USA in the year 2000, where I underwent the ‘Crisis Response Team Training Programme’ under ATA and earned the highest grading ‘Instructional Grade’.Attended ‘Training of Trainers’ Course (TOT) at ITBP training Centre and trained by the Expert Trainers of “CENTREX” of UK and selected as the Trainer for the Civilian Police Officers for deployment under UNO. My superlative leadership qualities & operational experience I was selected for U.N. Mission to Kosovo as UN CIVPOL. I had earned UN Peace Medal (Kosovo) and Foreign Service Medal for my Outstanding Performance. I had also served in National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) as Commandant, under NDMA,MHA, GOI for about a year. As Commandant of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) Battalion, I also carried out various rescue operations in Maharashtra, Karnataka & Goa States. I had also worked as the Force Coordinator during General Election-2009. During the month of May, 2019, I had successfully managed and control the communal riots in Hailkandi district of Assam State, which was highly appreciated by the state authorities. I had also earned Nine years long service Medal in IAF, UN Peace Medal, Foreign Service Medal, Antrik Suraksha Seva Padak, Special Duty Medal, Special Service Medal, President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service & DG’s Commendation Disc (04 Nos) and numerous Commendation/Appreciation letters.
