Kaizen to improve the efficiency of a manufacturing cell, creating new standard of work processes to go from three operators to one.Goal 1: Reduce number of operators per cell by half. Outcome: Reduced from three operators in one cells to two operators split between two smaller cells. In order implement a better Chaku-Chaku for each operation, the machines were placed all next to each other and in order.Goal 2: Reduce manual handling of parts in-between CNC operations.Outcome: Designed and implemented an auto-release (Hanedashi) for a CNC machine to eliminate as much human operation as possible.

Researched the stellar evolution of giant stars through a survey of archive data from the Palomar Testbed Interferometer. Analyzed the data in using Linux command line tools.
