I am a graduate of Lewis and Clark College with a double major in Computer Science and English. I am currently seeking employment, either remotely or in the San Diego area. I have experience in both software development and writing, and I am looking for a company to share my skills with.When I was in college, it took me a long time to figure out what exactly I wanted to get a degree in. Like many, I entered with the idea that I would be a biology major. However, in my second year, I took a computer science class at the behest of my father and I knew immediately that it was something that I wanted to pursue. I love solving the problems presented to me by software development, and there are few things more satisfying to me than the moment a big project comes together and I finally get the results that I want. Of course, writing code was not my only interest in college. I was also interested in writing creatively, so I decided to take a few creative writing classes for my electives. But when I was done with those, I realized that I was only a few classes away from earning a minor in English, so I pursued that. And when I had earned that, I realized that I was only a few classes away from earning the major as well, and so I couldn’t help myself and double majored. I am hard working and goal oriented, and I will pursue challenges for no other reason than the fact that I think I can.When I am not coding or writing in my free time, I enjoy reading sci-fi and fantasy novels, playing tabletop role playing games with my friends, and hanging out in Discord calls.
