BrightGauge is a web-based reporting and executive dashboard software solution for the IT Services industry. I co-founded this private, self-funded company with my brother in 2010 and created the concept and design of the software. As president of the company, I am responsible for leading the entire product development, design, and support teams based in Miami and San Francisco.

In this position, my efforts focused on refining the marketing strategy and building the sales of Compuquip’s Managed IT Services division, which provided outsourced IT services to help small- and mid-size businesses improve operating efficiencies, reduce operating costs, enhance IT network performance, and ensure continuity in IT access and support. Our success growing the business garnered the attention of one of the nation’s leading IT services providers, and, in 2012, we divested Compuquip’s Managed IT Services division to All Covered, a division of Konica Minolta Business Systems U.S.A.

I led Compuquip’s renewed focus on growing its customer base in South Florida by doubling its sales force, improving engineer training and rebranding the company with new tools to help market its services to current and prospective customers. This included the introduction of a new, interactive website with blogs, e-newsletters and video tutorials that provided businesses with tips for leveraging technology to save time and money.

My entrée into the IT industry began at IBM’s exclusive global sales training program, for which I was one of three candidates to graduate with distinction. After training, I began selling IBM systems and services to small- and mid-sized businesses in Michigan. Following my first two quarters with the company, IBM promoted me to Wisconsin major accounts manager, overseeing a $20MM quota with clients such as Kohl’s, Miller Brewing, and Schneider National trucking and logistics.
