Undergraduate Research Assistant
Prepared samples of lab-grown crystals in Hall Effect tests to test properties of crystal such as resistivity and determine if crystal is a good candidate for superconductivity.Refactored a lab furnace to initiate high-temperature analysis of linear thermal correlation with resistivity.Worked with professor to develop refined methods of measuring thermal conductivity using platinum-based thermometers and sectioned copper electronic boards.Read papers and attended colloquiums to better understand the nature of crystal-based superconductors.
