Barry Shapiro has more than 40+ years of professional experience with a strong accounting background in a variety of industries, including real estate development, healthcare, not-for-profit, service organizations and entertainers. A licensed certified public accountant in the state of New Jersey, Barry was formerly employed with the Internal Revenue Service.He is a graduate of Rider University, where he received his bachelor's degree in accounting. Barry is a highly active member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA); he is past chairman of the NJSCPA’s Tax Resource Committee, which oversees all of that organization’s tax committees, past chairman of the NJSCPA’s State Tax Committee and a current member of the NJSCPA’s IRS Co-op Committee & State Tax Committee. In addition, he formerly served as statewide trustee, treasurer and vice president of the NJSCPA. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).Barry is a lifelong community and civic leader. He is active in many charitable organizations, including the Ronald McDonald House, Long Branch, NJ, where he serves as committee chair of the Audit Committee and member of the Executive Board and completed two years as chairman of Ronald McDonald House of Central and Northern New Jersey. He is currently vice president and member of Monmouth Park Charities Allocation Committee; former president and current member of the President's Council of Temple Torat El, Ocean, NJ; past board member of Public Company First Montauk Securities. Barry was also instrumental in establishing the West Long Branch Sports Association.
