As a Director in the Financial Modelling team based in London, I served as a trusted expert and a crucial link between business requirements and technical solutions.Effective communication was important in this role - particularly in interpreting requirements in plain English and translating them into comprehensive solutions that were easy to understand and adopt.I managed client relationships from initial meetings, through specification workshops, and into drafting proposed solutions. These solutions balanced scope, price, and timetable to meet individual client needs.During the delivery phase, I oversaw model development, getting hands-on when necessary. I was also responsible for quality assurance, analytical review, signing off deliverables, and providing ongoing client support.

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) role for Baker Tilly (previously RSM Tenon which was acquired by Baker Tilly in September 2013).Working as part of a small team responsible for the design and delivery of Management Information, Financial Planning / Forecasting and Data Analysis.Responsible for:- Developing, improving and maintaining MI processes.- Redesigning existing processes to streamline them using automation where appropriate.- Providing wider support to other teams and depts.- Providing technical skills, financial modelling, data analysis and advanced use of Excel, including VBA / Macros.Key highlights include:- Designing and maintaining a fully integrated 4 year monthly cash flow model for the RSM Tenon business (c£200m turnover).- Designing and maintaining an internal forecasting process (both under RSM Tenon and the combined RSM Tenon / Baker Tilly business at c£350m+ turnover)- Development of a complete suite of automated Management Information for the combined business as part of the post-acquisition integration process.

Work placement during my third year at University of Bath; I worked as an analyst in the credit model development team of Lloyds TSB based in Brighton . My team was responsible for data analysis and subsequent construction of credit score card models used to assess borrower suitability for unsecured personal credit products.When applicants apply for credit, they are given a score based on their attributes and this determines things like acceptance, credit limit and interest rate offered. My team developed those score card models.
