Performed a variety of specialized security risk assessments, penetration tests, and incident response engagements for Fortune 500 companies and Government Agencies.

Handled some of the largest cyber incidents in late 90s for the DOD, including ER'97, Solar Sunrise and Moonlight Maze while the Incident Response lead for DOD-CERT. Also advised senior DOD leadership on the stand-up of the JTF-CND — which ultimately evolved into US Cyber Command. Worked closely with the federal law enforcement, intel, and operations teams to mitigate and investigate incidents. Had the unique opportunity to be first person to run penetration test against the Secretary of Defense's Network and ended up briefing Deputy Secretary of Defense Hamre in his office followed by a larger briefing to his entire leadership team.Dreamed up and built 1st generation of Centaur – a cutting-edge system to spot cyberattacks worldwide for the DOD that transformed the ability for DOD to understand the full scope of a cyber incident. Centaur later sparked the idea for the US Government's Einstein cyber defense grid.
