In the health care SaaS project, as the most experienced front-end developer in the team, I was playing a natural role of a front-end technical leader: I was responsible for taking care of architecture, directions of development, and code quality standards of the project (Vue tech stack).Later, working for a client from the construction industry, I was responsible for the front-end part of the logistic SaaS app. I was the only front-end developer in the project so I was responsible for making all the development decisions.

I was accountable for designing and developing front-end solutions that can handle huge network traffic in a very short amount of time. The solutions had to also take SEO and great user experience into account, which was one of the biggest challenges here.All of these requirements together may be difficult to meet but, thanks to the use of client-side rendering (React-based front-end app) for visitors and server-side rendering (using Node.js and express.js) only for search engines robots, I was able to succeed.

Building an application from scratch is always a challenging task, but it is even bigger when you do it in a small start-up at the beginning of its journey. Here, I had to choose the whole front-end technology stack, and it had to match all undiscovered yet requirements that may appear in the feature.I made it using technologies such as React, Redux, redux-observable/RxJS, webpack/babel, full Server Side Rendering (Node.js/express.js). In this project, I was also responsible for creating the service's layout. And last, but not least - founders also involved me in the decision-making process regarding the directions of product development.

I joined Scalac as front-end developer experienced mostly in AngularJS and Knockout.js frameworks. But the first project I was asked to join had to be written in React/Redux (which was pretty new technology at that time).It was quite challenging for me to learn entirely new technology from scratch and start to be productive using it as soon as possible. Especially that React introduced a completely new approach to creating front-end apps.Eventually, I have learned React quite fast, it became my favorite front-end technology, and I started to want to be an expert in it.

After a few years as a software developer who worked mostly with desktop applications, the switch to working as a Full-Stack Web Developer was quite challenging. Apart from coding in C#, I was already experienced in, I had to learn more about programming in JavaScript.It was quite tricky at the beginning, but after some time, I became a JavaScript expert in the company and started to be responsible for the most challenging front-end tasks.
