I mapped key engagements and activities between the Peter Mac and industry alliances and supported the Industry Alliances & Partnerships Steering Committee to develop a comprehensive strategic plan for industry partnered translational research.

• Development of targeted therapies for the cancer-associated stroma of high-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC).• Lead translational researcher for BEACON, a Phase 2 study targeting the C1 subtype of HGSC.• Identification and characterization of subpopulations of cancer-associated stroma in HGSC.• Studying how the tumor microenvironment, specifically the interplay between cancer associated fibroblasts, immune cells, and cancer cells, contribute to chemoresistance in HGSC using co-culturesystems and patient-derived xenograft mouse models.

• Developed an in vitro co-culture system to study the role of SPHK1 in tumor-stroma interactions in ovarian cancer.• Utilized lentiviral and RNAi strategies including CRISPR to manipulate gene expression and characterize the effects on cell proliferation, drug sensitivity, and maintenance of the cancer stem cell population.• Optimized an implemented multiplex qPCR technique to determine telomere length of patient samples.Thesis: The Role of Sphingosine Kinase 1 in the Tumor Microenvironment of Ovarian Cancer
