Beant is an artistic and creative individual. Since a young age he has had a particular interest in the Arts, how things are made and come in to existence. This took him through a journey of studying Art & Design in College, and later completing his BA at University. Inspired by his Grandfather, he takes a keen interest in film photography and has studied this for 16 years. The journey of photography has taken him through black and white film processes, color and recently moved him toward videography. Beant currently is the founder of an organisation called Vardān.uk which aims to capture the stories of the elderly, migrant families, family histories, heritage, migration and comparative opinions of present society from those who wish to share. Vardān.uk also specialises in digitising and restoration of photographs, analogue audio recordings and video footage.With experience in many sectors Beant has a love for people from all walks of life and takes opportunity to learn about his colleagues whilst building a strong working relationship with them. Working in education bought a particular joy to his life. This inspired him to serve his community through teaching the Dilruba (ancient Indian instrument) at his local Gurdwara with other volunteers in the weekly Kirtan class. This has also seen Beant to prepare and train pupils to sing Shabad Kirtan at the Vaisakhi Celebrations at No. 10 Downing Street in 2019. Beant is an enthusiastic and ambitious individual with the passion to work whole heartedly. He is flexible, understanding, passionate and is always open to new ideas.
