Beatriz forms part of the Design and Construction team at Lancashire County Council since July 2022. She had the opportunity of attending the five year program at one of the top Universities in Mexico City for a Bachelor Degree in Architecture. After graduating in 2010, she co-founded a small firm with two classmates where she gained experience on site supervision and project managing. Later she became the Site Manager of a residential project until completion, where she found her passion for construction supervision. After successfully delivering the project, she started as Project Manager in an architectural landscape studio where she coordinated with the design team, managed contractors and had meetings with clients. In 2013 she was awarded a scholarship from the Mexican government to develop her research in a Master of Science in Sustainable Architecture at Liverpool, England. While writing her dissertation on sustainable retrofit for mid-income vacation housing in Mexico, she joined as an intern the Friends of the Flyover organisation. There she participated in the development of a community driven urban project, considered as one of the most exciting and innovative projects in the country. Soon after she became a full-time designer at Different, a design practice based in the Baltic Triangle.In 2016 she moved back to Mexico City where she returned to the architectural landscape studio as Senior Project Manager and Office Coordinator. She brought the team into BIM, whilst starting the graduate scheme and landing the project with BMW's plant in San Luis Potosi, first one in Mexico.Upon returning to Liverpool in 2017 she rejoined Different as Senior Designer, delivering commercial projects in Liverpool ONE and the Albert Dock. She then became BIM Architectural Assistant at MBED Architects, where she worked mainly in residential projects across the Northwest of England. Some include the last phase in the Welsh Streets with the client Place First and the new build of ten flats building in Formby.
