Our goal is to be the First Choice supplier of metal and plastic AM parts in Europe.Key personal accomplishments:- Within 3 years, grown the R&D department from 1 to 9 researchers with an additional 2 PhD students.- Self-funding department having captured over £2 million in UK & EU research income in addition to private industrial funding.- Successfully secured the company in a third of the total projects that were funded in a UK Government funding call in Additive Manufacturing.- Increased the company’s cutting-edge reputation by developing new, highly regarded processes and techniques.

X-AT is an industry-facing, technology-focused research group in the College of Engineering, Maths and Physical Science at the University of Exeter. The group has achieved an outstanding history of research projects in collaboration with industry, including DTI, EU and EPSRC projects. During my time at X-AT, the centre had over 16 employees including research staff, students and technicians, with a project portfolio of over £4.7 million. My responsibilities included all aspects of the everyday running of the centre including: project management, budgetary control, employee personal development, legal contracts, and health and safety.
