I put client briefs into clear and well thought out designs and work directly with my trusted landscape contractors to implement my garden designs to a very high standard with the intention to create inspiring and sustainable outdoor spaces to enjoy all year round. After my brief maternity leave, I freelanced for Brighton architects, Domain Architecture. I covered surveys, building assessment, client, planning and contractor meetings, design proposals for alterations to and refurbishment of listed buildings.After a few months though, I decided it was more important to be with my young family and went back to doing the hardest job of all: being a full time Mum!

With the Construction industry slow to recover from the fiscal crash in 2008, I worked as a Researcher in Executive Search covering Financial Services for a while. My focus was on the German and French Market in initially Compliance then Investment Banking and Mergers & Acquisitions in particular. Freelance work in architectural conservation for Brighton architects, Chalk Architecture and UN[Lab]. Also spent a full year working on the full internal refurbishment of our Victorian semi in Brighton.

For my professional year out, I was selected to take part in a Student Exchange between the University of Brighton and CUJAE, the Technical University of Havana, Cuba.I worked on a landscape regeneration project in the heart of Old Havana, a dedicated UNESCO World Heritage Site. My design proposal for a sustainable urban park was exhibited in the Architecture Biennale of Havana in June 2004.

I volunteered at the Royal Collection and Royal Library in Windsor Castle to improve my English and to get an insight into the handling of works of art and curating of exhibitions. I moved to the UK permanently to pursue an architectural education in Brighton in 2000.
