My research focuses on megatrends in education, specifically on the digitalisation and internationalisation of education, in Australia and globally. Managing, developing and teaching online programs for a decade has inspired my passion for online and multimodal teaching and learning, and employing technology to increase student access to highest quality education, anywhere, anytime. Extensive expertise in training language teachers has sparked my passion for training educators and educational managers in a wide range of fields and roles, beyond language teaching. I love supporting a broad range of professionals in maximising their capacity to teach and work in a digital environment. I am the Leader of the Humanities and Global Studies Discipline area (in the Faculty of Society and Design), which includes Spanish, French, Japanese and Chinese Languages and Cultures programs, TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), Philosophy, International Relations, Australian Studies, Global Studies and Humanities Research Portfolio. My current current role has motivated my interests in educational management and leadership. My research and practical training skills aim to support educators and other professionals in designing effective online learning environments and understanding linguistically and culturally diverse student cohorts. I have presented key note addresses, conference papers and professional workshops on megatrends in education, online education and international education, in Australia, Europe and Asia.
