About Bea Thackeray
I started my business when few people were talking about sustainability or reusing anything least of Christmas crackers! Was I mad? Well it was a hard sell to begin with but I stuck with it as I believed it was the right thing to do.'Keep This Cracker' is a reusable alternative to standard disposable crackers. What makes these ones special is that you can pull them like normal crackers only they don't tear. Simply put them back together with a new snap.Drawing on 20 years experience designing and developing gifts for the high street retail market I had a flash of inspiration. Many prototypes later, the first Reusable Christmas Crackers were launched at the Home & Gift Fair in Harrogate. Since then I have continued innovating and improving the products to make the offering even more sustainable and plastic free. My latest invention, the ecosnap® is a low-noise alternative to standard (noisy) snaps, and the new packaging is reusable and compostable too.
