I am a CELTA certified teacher of English. I was born in France and after graduating in Language and Business studies, I moved to the UK and spent most of my adult life near Windsor, a lovely corner of England, you might be familiar with, if, like me, you’ve been watching The Crown on Netflix. I feel very Frenglaise or Franglish, as you wish and I am passionate about everything British.I am bilingual in French and English and have also studied Spanish and Russian, so I know the challenges of learning a new language. As a student, I had two passions: Languages and Travel and I chose a job that allowed me to do both. As an event manager for 20 years, I had the opportunity to meet and work with people all around the world who used English as a global language, to communicate with other non-native speakers. I really enjoyed being in a diverse multicultural environment.I then worked for 2 years as an Exams Coordinator at the British Council in Paris and am therefore familiar with English tests used to grade an individual’s language proficiency according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), such as IELTS and Cambridge exams. I currently teach face to face in Orléans and remotely (via various platforms).Last, but not least, I am the mother of two totally bilingual children and have experienced first-hand how their language learning developed as they were growing up.All the above combined experiences enable me to help learners progress in all four English language skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking and to gain confidence in order to communicate effectively
