Working as an independent contractor through IAS for USAA. Who launched a new test pilot program called the status team. We handle all status calls, and reporting new losses to the file handlers from adverse carriers, medical providers and attorneys. We answer all questions documented on the claim file from the file handler, such as liability status, subrogation , payments and setting up new losses. This eliminates backlogged calls and voicemails. It provides the file handler more time to handle new losses, determining liability and obtaining recorded statements. Allowing the claim process to flow more swiftly for closure.

Assist Claims Manager with loss ration reports, salvage/subrogation reports, quality control, and resolving escalations. Specialize in handling of large loss claims, subrogation, arbitration, total losses and litigation. Analyze loss reports using claim administrator and carrier systems. Maintain Claims spreadsheet containing all MGA insurance company data and make recommendations. Assist the Claims Manager and third party administrator in gathering and documenting information required on claims. Review claims for incidents that require immediate or additional attention. Serve as primary user of carrier and third party claims administration computer systems. Coordinate Dept. of Insurance complaints and replies in compliance with policies, procedures and practices.

Handled Total Loss claims due to Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Then deployed to Birmingham, AL to work Field Appraiser claims for Hurricane Nate.

Conduct orientations for newly hires on health/life benefits. Process all newly hires, terms, transfers, LOA, FMLA paperwork. Assist with TPA on claims dispute. Assist employee with Mail Order RX process. Setup and collect payment arrangements for continuation of benefits for COBRA, FMLA, LOA. Input all data for end of the month reports for billing purposes.

Handle outstanding open tickets not paid by insurance companies, by using subrogation techniques, skills from prior experience. Contacting insurance companies, customers, or third parties. Administrative duties to include answering phones, fax, greet customers, assist with questions on estimates, time of delivery. Collect payments, using SAP software.
