-Provide direct care to patients with cardiovascular disease, pre/post cardiac bypass, valve replacement/repair, pacemaker, cardiac/peripheral angiogram with/without intervention -Monitor cardiac arrhythmias, collaborate with MDs-Perform emergency intervention/treatment such as drips (Heparin, Lasix, Bumex, Amiodarone, etc.)-Closely monitor and discontinue mediastinal tubes, temporary pacer wires, and various drainage -Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion and skilled communication, lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience-Assist to deliver patient-centered care across the continuum to support the successful transition of patients to other healthcare delivery systems or their home communities-Properly assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient’s conditions

-Provide care based on care plans and physician orders-Prepare & administer medications as ordered by the physician-Develop & maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility to ensure that nursing services and activities can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of the residents-Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the unit and shift-Receive/give nursing report upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours-Make rounds with physicians as necessary-Assist in all aspects of a resident’s daily life, including activities of daily living, meal service, and social engagement-Appropriately communicate with branch clinical leadership when a resident’s needs change-Know how to approach and care for residents with dementia
