Oversight of the Research Operations for the UCR School of Medicine. This included providing leadership and management to a team of employees that provided support to the research operations for the school. The services provided by my group included Safety, Facilities Management, Shipping & Receiving, Specialized Lab facilities, and Capital Projects management. Other responsibilities included space utilization, training, design and maintenance of the labs, procurement of experimental equipment, and service contracts. Served as the Lab Safety Officer ensuring EH&S compliance; and assisted in developing, maintaining and implementing procedures for the BSL2 and BSL3 labs. Served as Building Supervisor for Emergency Conditions and as Chair of the Research Facilities Emergency Evacuation Committee which included preparedness for and coordination of Fire Drills and Evacuation.

Researcher in the Department of Cell Biology and Neuroscience with the Nicole zur Nieden group. General lab management, management of laboratory finances and budget, ordering of lab supply and equipment, inventory and maintenance, enforcement of lab safety, and general lab upkeep. Additionally, I was involved in several research projects, including the osteogenic differentiation of mouse embryonic stem cells in bioreactors, which led to a publication, and the study of cardiogenic prenatal toxicity as a cause of traditional and harm reduction tobacco use.
