I believe that you can travel the world even without leaving one place.If journalism is an activity that is fundamentally based on collecting and transmitting information, I – being a natural communicator as well as a very observant and talkative person – could not have chosen another career. My goal is to hear and to be heard, to understand others and help them out, giving them a platform on which their voices can be projected, regardless of the media I choose to do that. When we listen to each other, it is possible to expand our knowledge in unimaginable ways, visiting other realities and experiences that we have never known before.Thus, still as a student, I want to explore my possibilities in social communication, working with different audiences and forms of expression, for instance: design, marketing, editorial production and, of course, journalism. I am ready to face challenges and learn from them.After all, what is communication if not a great dialogue? Connecting with your audience, understanding them, telling a story, informing them on what they do not yet know that they need to be aware of. I believe that curiosity is one of my greatest characteristics and also the main reason why I love social communication so much. It was what built the qualities that I have today as a professional. Through it, I have shaped myself as an adaptable person who learns from the environment around me; a listener, who seeks different sources of information in order to come up with an idea; an assertive and expressive woman, always positioning myself to contribute to a discussion; a professional with will to learn; a creative mind who wants to attract the attention of the public to important matters; an enthusiast of different languages, being fluent in Portuguese, English and currently studying Spanish. As a journalist, I believe that the exercise of critical thinking is always essential to our evolution as a society. Therefore, I have worked in different projects that could offer me this opportunity, such as the organization of diplomatic models – which simulate national and global committees, discussing socio-political topics of international relevance. I also took part in an exchange program at the small town of Portalegre in Portugal, getting to know a reality totally different from mine. Step by step, I hope I am on my way to make my little baggage bigger and bigger. Would you like to travel the world with me?
