I'm Bea (B), a first-generation Latina graduate and professional dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion in the Government Laboratory sector. Currently, I serve as a Recruiter for National & Homeland Security, specializing in bridging early-career talent into our laboratories and championing diversity within our directorate.As co-founder of the INL Sin Limites program, I lead efforts in bilingual recruitment and partnership-building with internal and external stakeholders. Our collaborations include organizations offering GED prep, English courses, and professional development workshops in both English and Spanish.My academic journey includes a Bachelor's in Sociology, a Master's in Public Administration, and I am pursuing a Doctorate in Political Science at Idaho State University. My research focuses on policy, impacts, and behavior related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), particularly within the Latinx community.Passionate about mentoring historically excluded populations, I draw from my own experiences as a first-generation student at a PWI to empower others from similar backgrounds.
