JSTA runs a mixed touch football comp with games played on Tuesday & Thursday nights. The club has over 220 registered players.After playing for many years, Leon accepted the role of Vice President in Sept 2009. In 2012 Leon’s peers voted him to the President role and he remains in this volunteer position today (committee members step down each year, before potentially being re-elected).Leon's leadership has seen team turnover rates decline by approx. 30% & Team numbers have increased to a point where the club is at capacity on Thursday nights, while also experiencing an increase of 45% on Tuesday nights. The club is in a healthy financial position with growing numbers & a great playing experience.Leon has steered JSTA through a tumultuous time where its future was uncertain (due to possibly losing the fields). Leon leads the way, with the club now working closely with fellow sporting organisation Jimboomba Thunder Rugby League, placing both organisations in a strong partnership.
